Adjctives are descriptive words. They are words that describe something or someone.

The car is blue
I am tired
She is friendly

Adjectives often talk about nouns (substantiv). They describe what the noun looks like, smells like, what colour it has, how many there are etc.

Different types of adjectives

We have five different kinds of adjectives.

Possessive adjectives:
Words used to describe possession - My, her, his, its, your, our and their. 
 
My hat
Her dog
His house
Is this your book?
The articles
The articles an, a, and the are also adjectives.
Demonstrative adjectives
Demonstrative adjectives are words that demonstrate specific things. This, that, these, those.
 
This book
Those shoes
That table
These stones. 
Indefinite adjectives.
Indefinite adjectives are words that do not demonstrate specific things. No, any, many, few, several.
 
There were no windows open.
I could not find any socks.
There were many flowers.
I could only take a few strawberries with me. 
The boy had several books to choose from.
Numbers
Numbers are also considered to be adjectives.

I have three books
There were ten students left.
